General Information
Black Americans In Publishing, Inc. is a non-profit volunteer organization which supports the advancement of black professionals and aspirants in all areas of the publishing industry, through career networking, mentorship and education outreach. These goals are realized through regular meetings, special programs and publications dedicated to support, enable and encourage our membership. Learn more about our Membership Benefits.

Requirements for Membership
Membership is open to anyone seeking advancement in any aspect of the Publishing Industry. We encourage each member to further enrich their experience in Black Americans in Publishing, Inc. by joining a committee and being actively involved in the organization.

Membership Applications
To become a member, fill out our Membership Application.

Membership Fees
Effective May 1, 2003, we have cancelled membership dues for the time being. With the economy being what it is and the difficult times in the publishing business right now, we didn't want to add to our member's burdens with membership dues. The organization is free to join at this point, though we are going to look at who we do and do not accept for membership to make sure that all those who are invited to join will bring some enthusiasm and diligence to the group. For more information about joining, please contact us at membership@baip.org.
